A STYLISH SYDNEY GREEK WEDDING
Terry and Meleena married on the 2nd July 2016
Their Greek wedding ceremony was held at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Kingsford Sydney, followed by their reception at Oatlands House.
Terry and Meleena wore Story of Stefania crowns during their Greek wedding ceremony.
Why did you choose these stefana for your wedding?
We chose the Swarovski Crystal stefana because we were looking for simplicity and elegance.
Did you have a theme that inspired your wedding?
We used classic neutral tones such as ivory and white with a touch of natural Kraft. From the bouquet to the menu cards we ensured that our theme was soft and romantic. We wanted to ensure that our family and friends felt love and warmth on our wedding day.
What are some special/unique details included in your wedding?
Meleena: our wedding date is the wedding anniversary of my parents Con and Joanna. They celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary that evening.
Terry is from the island of Kastellorizo and we incorporated his traditions and music into the wedding morning.
Family and friends are an important part of our lives and incorporating them into our wedding added a memorable touch.
About the wedding day….
Our wedding day was perfect. We had a traditional Greek wedding ceremony at St Spyridon Church which is filled with rich culture and beauty. The sounds of hymns welcomed our loved ones as they entered into the church.
After the church ceremony we hightailed it to Centennial Park for our bridal portrait sessions. We took our photos as the sun set and then headed over to the beautiful Garden Ballroom at Oatlands House.
We couldn’t keep the smiles off our faces all day. After speeches, dancing, laughter and more dancing, we swept off to start enjoying married life together.
We felt so blessed to have shared our wedding day with our closest family and friends.
